I thought the same thing about Hidden Figures about John Glenn saying to have the “smart girl” check the numbers!!! Lol!! I was wondering if it happened like that too!

I like the Akinator because I’m trying to guess along as each question is asked. Bring it on, ladies!

I do like Akinator! It is fun both to try to guess and see what questions he comes up with. Stennie, I like the games. I have tried a number of your suggestions and I’m going to look for Maze Dungeon!!! I meant to comment on last weeks show to ask if y’all saw the recolored Dick Van Dyke shows at Christmastime. So sad to hear about MTM. I loved Gallavant. It was the perfect clean the house background show. So silly. I’m also interested in your time travel books Stennie. I don’t mind if you keep with that topic. Bet, I just LOVE the pic of Taylor and Allie coming back down the aisle. That is absolutely wonderful!!! What a treasure.

Good evening! We are heading downtown tonight to the VaRep Theatre for a performance of the play “Airline Highway.” It is set in the parking lot of a motel on the once popular road between New Orleans and Baton Rouge so hopefully it should be good entertainment and a brief distraction from today’s world.

I see a lot of immigrants in my job at the hospital. Last Friday, before knowing about the immigration ban, I had an elderly couple from Syria at me desk; the woman softly cried the entire time they were at my desk. They had “won the lottery” and entered the USA very recently with fresh new green cards. I asked if they still had family in Syria and they said yes, including their 36-year old daughter (a gunshot survivor) and her 6-month old daughter. I asked if they thought they would be able to get her out and they said they were certainly going to try. I shook their hands and welcomed them to Richmond and wished them the best…….and then, the decree. I can’t get them out of my mind.

On to another subject…..the Super Bowl. I have hated Matt Ryan since he threw a last second winning TD pass after scrambling his ass off in game with Boston College at Virginia Tech. But all will be forgiven if he can lead the Falcons past Tom Brady and Bill Belichick tomorrow night!!
