I have been wanting to recommend a new TV show to you guys but keep forgetting to do it. A recent episode has finally pushed me to post a comment. The show is “Young Sheldon.” We do not watch “The Big Bang Theory” but we love Young Sheldon. Jim Parsons narrates the show. Young Sheldon is nine years old, I think. He lives with his sister, brother and parents and Annie Potts plays his maternal grandmother. Each character is very well developed and the writing is spot-on. And even though they come within a hair of stereotyping, they are each very lovable in their own ways.

The most recent episode (Season 1, Episode 11), titled “Demons, Sunday School and Prime Numbers” opens with the boys playing Dungeons and Dragons.! Of course I would recommend all of the episodes but if you want to pick and choose, one of my favorites was probably episode #8 about a road trip to Cape Canaveral. So if you are looking for a lighthearted comedy with some poignant scenes about someone who is different than the average person, check out “Young Sheldon.”
