I ended up not caring for “The World’s End” as much as “Shaun” and “Hot Fuzz.” I think both of the earlier films worked as both comedies and as zombie and cop movies, respectively. While TWE made me laugh my ass off a bunch of times and also feel for the characters, it was a pretty weak scifi film. I don’t want to get into the details due to spoilers but I felt the scifi elements of this movie are only slightly stronger than those in “Signs.” I’m not saying I didn’t like TWE, I’m just saying it was less satisfying to me compared to the last two.

As for the sheets, my mom always told me the same thing as your mom, Sten. The top sheet goes picture-side down. For her it was because you fold the sheet over the top edge of the comforter, which is visible (in theory) at all times while you are in the bed. If the top sheet goes picture-side up, but you don’t fold it over the top of the comforter, then you can’t see the sheet anyway, so who cares which side is up? That is, unless you turn the sheets out before you go to bed. My mom learned this from her mom, so it’s not a case of just a few people doing it wrong. I wonder if this “rule” came from Emily Post or something. Would you mind googling that for me? ๐Ÿ˜‰

And I think I missed an episode–things have been busy over here. Sierra’s sister came into town for the opening of the Timothy Leary Archive at the New York Public Library (she helped maintain it for a while and edited Leary’s last book) so we got to go to a gala event at the NYPL and meet some interesting folks. Then, the day she left, my mom arrived so we could finally scatter my uncle’s ashes in this area that he loved plus it was my mom’s first visit to NYC since my step-dad passed so we did a bunch of touristy stuff. However, while we were out scattering my uncle’s ashes, a chunk of our living room ceiling fell in. >_< No one was hurt and nothing was damaged (though everything was covered in sheetrock dust), but now we're worried our entire ceiling could collapse. It's been 4 days and the landlord has only had the super clean up the fallen sheetrock. The fall was caused by aging, we think, since there was no water damage.

Sooo, as I said, it's been a little busy over here.

    Aaaanyway…

Ok, thanks for the chance to reguess beans. I feel my first guess was mighty low! I’ll do so on the appropriate place! Flat Iron, never thought I’d use one but my haircutter used it and I liked it. Still don’t quite know what I’m doing but not giving up. I think there is potential. I thought of some sentences and I’m afraid I seem to use both interchangeably. Sheets. Decorated sheet up and if you have nice pillow cases where you do the fold back thing for prettiness you fold it twice ( down, then back up so pattern still on top). Bet so glad you had a great time in Atlanta. Sounds like a great trip. Thanks ladies for keeping us laughing at you, life, and ourselves!

Sorry – “I thought of some sentences and Iโ€™m afraid I seem to use both interchangeably.” On the Floor, In the Floor. More “On”, though. Happy Recording. And so glad Milo was happy to see you – it just makes you feel good when they show the “excitedness” (looks like I made that up since spellcheck is concerned (wow- also concerned about spellcheck)) you feel to get them back!
