Okay, so my first thought was “….wait, WHAT???? May 8th????” We’ve had Stennie leave us and therefore Bet and Stennie for brief interludes before – but not returning until May. I had to stop and collect myself a little bit. That’s a long time! You need to post at least a bi-weekly ‘what’s making the Hucklebug Happy” every other week. And we’ll need some updates on the play. Best of luck to Stennie! I hope everything (well, at least most things) go great!!

Stennie – this was from previous show but every time Broccoli is in my house or if I’m just eating Broccoli, I cannot stop myself from singling “Chopping Broccoli” It’s definitely burned into my soul! Bet – old one for you – wow – so the counselor’s office actually has a sign about not discussing your conditions. That’s excellent!

I’m behind on rewatching Freaks & Geeks – still have to find the Diary – I was finding them on YouTube but the later episodes seem to be deleted because of music. I’ll keep searching.

Ladies – enjoy the break – but know you will be missed – you are definitely a part of my week!

  2. Michelle says:

So, OK. I got over my severe disappointment at your long hiatus, and I’ll take my last shout out of the season.

    *sigh*

I believe that the pizza commercial is a true story. I read about it on CNN.com about a year or so ago. Smart woman, or smart ad person.

How sad that I didn’t watch the Superbowl though – not because I care about football, but because I could have understood last week’s show more. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, because I did. I laffed. But I did have to go look up the sharks.

I did just check my Amazon suggestions – and not only does Amazon think that I, too, love things shaped like hearts, but all of the heart things they are showing me are diamond. Let’s just say this, if the tagline is “Save $1,000!” it isn’t for me. I feel like Amazon is channeling my grandmother (may she rest.) “Don’t you think a woman of your age should be married?” Sheesh.

And I guess that’s it for me. Have a fun show tonight and don’t forget about us while you’re hiatusizing.

Okay, so Brian Williams if off the air, without pay, for six months, and people are definitely questioning if he will really return to the nightly news. So, as you go off on your 3-month break, I’m betting there is a better chance of you all returning. (I really want all three of you to return.) Enjoy your break from the weekly deadlines. I guess we are going to have to read our own product manuals now. In regards to the sugggestion that you update us on how the play is going, maybe you can do that on the ‘bug’s Facebook page. And about introducing any archived episodes, Garrison always introduces any repeat episodes of Prairie Home Companion and Ray Magliozzi now introduces old Car Talk episodes.

Stennie, stay dry. Scout & Lincoln, keep your momma’s stress level under control during the play. Bet, stay warm. And Milo, eat dog treats, not footies.

Happy Valentine’s Day to a great couple of extremely talented people!

    Donna
