Belmont is a small town in Harrow England near where my Mum lives! My grandparents, when they were alive lived there and we used to visit with them in an English pub called “The Belmont”.
A phrase/saying to confuse listeners is “to steal a march on”. I bemused Donna with this last night!! Very British I think.
Mash Up Tries:
Intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles break-up and make-up based on the pressures and expectations of February but then two rivals suffer horrible NASCAR crashes, become friends, and one goes on to race in the Daytona 500.
A 1939 test pilot asks his best friend to use him as a guinea pig for a cryogenics experiment so that he doesn’t have to watch his love lying in a coma and then the next thing he knows he wakes up in his granddad’s castle and repeats the neurological experiments his grandfather created.
One more:
Two hip detectives protect a murder witness while investigating a case of stolen heroin but decide to pick up a friend and share a ride cross country but unexpectedly discover that one of them has a horrible illness but that doesn’t lessen the love between them.
Oh hell – you two are always mired in “special.” Revel in it!
I am a failure at movie mashups. I don’t think I know enough movies, and I am just not creative with it. In fact, I was just reading Kellie’s entries over and over, and it took me several minutes to figure out she was even posting movie mashups.
And I was expecting to see some there!
Play a different game that I can do. Trivia or something.
So here’s a question for you: What does Doug’s theme song mean? Where is it from, and what are “starchers?” I know the song, obviously, comes from “We are the World.” I mean, I’m an 80s kid. But starchers? Is that some kind of mascott?
Every time I hear you apologize for going long on show I want to kick your asses. I LIKE IT WHEN YOU HAVE A LONG SHOW. It can take me 90 minutes to drive home – sometimes even longer. I can live through it with a lot of Hucklebug. Quit apologizing, and just be all special, OK?
Wait – is this the weekend of Janet and Donna? Is there a weedin’? If not, I’m sure it’s soon – so happy weedin’ day!!! I’ll be cheering you on (and Bet and Sue too) from Chicago! I might even eat some Indian food in your honor.
