RE: Postcrossing. This is the weirdest messsage I have received so far in Postcrossing but I thought Stennie especially would appreciate it.

Hi Donna
I’m an alien from a distant galaxy, visiting Planet Earth to gather data or my doctoral dissertation on the subject of “Eco-Systems in their Final Stages – The Genesis of Uninhabited Planets in the Habitable Zone of Solar Systems.” As you can guess, your planet is just the perfect place for my research. It’s fascinating to observe the dominant species evolving from social animals to individualists — losing the very skills of cooperation that once made it successful — a development that both accelerates the decline of your eco-system and makes your species unable to coordinate counter messages. It’s actually a fairly common problem throughout the universe. Scientists call it “The Reset Button of Evolution.” Quiet often some less complex species survive the collapse of an eco-system and thus life on that planet gets a second chance…..
Oh Bester – I got choked up during your retellling of the weeding and the sound of you getting weepy. What a beautiful wedding and what a lovely family! There was no lowlight hidden in this tremendous highlight and I’m so HAPPY! And why did you think you’d never see Paul again? Smack him from me for that man bun.
Where can we see the video you made for the reception dinner?
Mazel tov to that sweet boy and his lovely wife. I’m looking forward to many more family stories about their first year of marriage.
Stenns – D&D? Is it an online version? I have to say, I’ve never played either and I’m just a year behind you in age. (A few months, really) and although I don’t think it’s something I’d be interested in, but I am oddly curious in how it’s going for you.
Since I’m writing on the 26th, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention George Michael. I’m sure you’ll have a RIP on the next show. I just can’t believe how many greats have died this year – and please, Prince and George weren’t even OLD! Horrible. Anyway, the soundtrack to my late teens and early 20s is so full of George Michael, it’s created such a melancholy x-mas. Even more so than usual.
Nope. I never met Marla. When she was here just recently, I was at work when she announced, and then we didn’t get together when I finally saw she was here. I will meet her someday though, whether she wants to or not.
For the record, other than the two of you, I’ve met Nyssa, Janet and Donna. (I’ve other #Squeezers, but I don’t know that they’ve ever been listeners.)
Punim and I wish you and all our hucklebuddies a wonderful 2017 !
