I set a reminder on my phone to comment – so you’re gonna get a comment. Share a You Rule for the tech, will you?

    1. I didn’t know that Kelly (with a Y) was in town! BOO… But I hope she had a marvelous time. The Bean is a new-ish sculpture in Millenium Park that went up sometime between 2006-8, I’m not sure. Its real name is the Cloud Gate, and it looks like a giant mirrored, silver kidney bean that reflects part of the skyline – and the people who stand in front of it to take pictures.

    2. Thanksgiving chez Sackerson sounds like the perfect family event. Good moments, lots of side eye, new memories.

    3. Congratulations on the egg success Betster! You have inspired me to bring deviled eggs to a xmas party I’m going to next week. I’m going to try Doug’s liquid smoke suggestion too, so I’ll let you know. Also – Betster, have I ever showed you a picture of my mother’s deviled egg plate? If not, I’ll have to take a pic and post it for you.

    4. Of course you’re thinking of taking this week off podcasting. It’s because I’m commenting. It never fails. I get my ass in gear, and you two piss off. But it’s OK. I understand. ’tis the season and all that. It is also awfuly kind of you to offer us some catch-up time.

    5. I must have voted for Dukakis, too, but I don’t remember voting in the 1988 election. I’m sure I did, given it was my first opportunity to vote. I must not have been thrilled about Dukakis, but I’m sure I didn’t vote for H.W. I have never voted Republican.

Damn. I got my Kellys confused. I meant Kellie with an i-e!

Also, Queen – have you heard this song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ui4k6ngAcO8. (Too lazy to click on the link? It’s a song called Mother Love, and it’s the last song Freddie ever recorded. The last verse was recorded by Brian, because Freddie got too sick during the final recording sessions, and never made it back to the studio. This song has been haunting me for weeks now.
