Hey Stenns – Atypical. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. The little fireman is high-functioning autistic (what they used to refer to as Aspergers). He relates to nearly everything in it.

I actually braved the grocery store today, and I’m happy to report that not ALL the shelves are empty. For example, I there was a bag of flour instead of none. Broccoli was back on the shelves at $3.99/lb (?!?!?!) We never have a shortage of tortillas around here though. I wonder if they’d make it through the mail?

Betster, I’m impressed and appalled that you have to go into the office. And if your sister comes and opens that front door to people stupid enough to come inside, I hope you insist working from home.

Yes, Illinois has been on lockdown for a solid week now. People were ignoring it in the big city, so on Thursday, the mayor came on TV and yelled at us. They closed down the lakefront, all of the parks (no shit, there is police “caution” tape on the basketball courts and jungle gyms). She also said that the police would be out in force ticketing groups of more than 2.

Luckily we can still go to the grocery store and some restaurants have pickup, and of course we’re allowed outside for walks. Especially if you have a dog.
