Well – the web (or my smartphone) must have eaten (ate??) my comment last week – I weighed in on my apple choice (Gala or Fuji) and my favorite comics (steve martin and steven wright, of course, but also bill cosby and the smuther’s brothers songs because I grew up on some records of theirs – I still have times when something happens in life where a smuther’s brothers song comes to mind but if I ever reference out loud then no one knows what I am talking about – 8 bars, streets of laredo, my old dad’s a sailor ). I also like Alonzo Bordan (I’m sure I’ve butchered all these names) and anyone who just does clean humor about real life stuff.
New show – thanks for reminding me about mutliplicity – I remember watching it over and over probably sometime when it was on some cable channel or something. I must find that again to watch. And I absolutely LOVED stripes as a kid for some reason – also thanks to HBO I’m sure. Gotta love cable in the 80s.
Oscar shows early 80s – I also remember watching Tootsie a lot – so I’ll put a vote in for that one – I haven’t seen most of these. I did discover Big Chill though as an adult and always watch it when I find it on cable. And we have the soundtrack – good music.
Did you like the show – I actually thought Ellen was pretty funny at times. Love to you both!
Hello! Just thought I would let you know we are still out here listening. We are only up to Episode 344 and since we don’t want to miss out on one second, we remain in the “catch up mode.” I regret missing out on posting timely Olympic-related comments but as always, enjoyed Bet’s Olympic updates on Facebook. Lastly, thanks for the RIP for Zippy.
