    Happy new year chickadees!

I’ve missed you! I hope you both enjoyed your holidays and your break from us.

I’m an episode or so behind, but I won’t let that deter me from commenting now.

SO – on the topic of Chanukah – not a major holiday. Yes, it’s a celebration of a miracle, but in the scheme of things, it isn’t a big deal. It has gotten much more attention since I was a kid, which I assume has something to do with competing with Christmas.

SO glad you’ve both seen Nebraska now – I really liked the movie. I saw it in a theAter when it came out. Not frontrunner for movie of the year with me either, but well worth the two hours.

Stenns – I’ve seen the McDonald’s commercials you talked about. They are a ploy to get you to go to the Q&A page on their website. Go visit. Very enlightening.

    Part 2)

So have you still not figured out what Serial is? It’s an NPR series “from the makers of This American Life.” (Sarah Koenig) It’s a single story that goes for like, 12 episodes about a murder case. I loved it, but was HUGELY disappointed by the ending. I’d encourage you to listen.

If you listen to TAL, they hype this podcast non-stop.

Now Stennie, you and I have to talk. About Neil deGrasse Tyson. You cannot claim him as your TV husband because he is MINE. All mine. I hope this helps clear any misconception you may have had in your head about Neil.

A bit of schadenfreude here – earlier today, I checked Facebook, as you do, and was greeted with the story, My HTML skills are quite rusty, so I don’t know if the link will work.

In any case, I’d like to give a shout-out to the bike upon which he had this accident. Mean spirited? Hell yes. But I’ll only admit my schadenfreude here, so that makes it OK.

And now I’ll be done, because I get crushed when you don’t read through my comments.

    Happy show!

OK – one last comment – I must have missed a quotation mark at the end of that link above. But on the upside, you have a large area to click on, so you won’t miss the story.

  4. Donna says:

I resolve to get caught up and stay caught up on The Hucklebug so that I can make relevant comments instead of generic ones such as this!

Have you seen “The Theory of Everything?” What a brillilant performance by Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking!

    Happy 2015!

  5. Kellie says:

Thanks for looking up 10 foot pole! I agree with your choice of definition. Loved the Lego movie, thought the whole premise was just excellent. The spaceman dude was so funny. Serial, saw Michele filled you in. I’m only on episode 8. It’s compelling. So is the hand glider story already on a podcast? I’m jealous. I must hear about this!! Enjoyed listening to what you are most proud of, interesting way to learn about you! Probably a great exercise to do once a year. Just saw that Nebraska is free on xfinity so hope to catch that soon.
