Stennie – That’s so funny – when you said ‘Hey Jude’ I immediately thought of that Olympics concert – that was really pretty impactful and so neat to see a song with such a fun sing-a-long that everyone knows! I know what mycelial network is from Star Trek Discovery (ha!). I got a harness for my cat – for some reason it worked once – I got it in her – she barely cared – and I took her out on the side deck while I was sitting outside reading. All the other times I have tried I couldn’t even get it hooked on except for once – after which she somehow backed out of it and now I’m scared she’ll get loose if I take her outside. This was 2 years ago. I’d like to try to find a better harness and see if it works any better.
Bet – oh my – grilled cheese in the air fryer – I may have to try that! Hasn’t the weather been strange this year – we keep having 6 inches of snow – then 80 – then 8 inches of snow – then 70, etc. Seems like the “winter into spring” that just can’t make up its mind!! We had 1/2 inch Wednesday morning – 70s yesterday.
Wow – love the “Universal songs” lists – I’m going to have to think about this one. I’ll put in Fanfare for the Common Man because I get chills every single time I hear that.
More from us:
Kellie: Paul Simon’s Diamonds on the Souls of her shoes due to the beat and African feel, Mumford and Sons I Will Wait for the banjo and four part harmonies
Kevin: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Gordon Lightfoot’s Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald
E the musician: I’d probably keep Beethoven’s 5th and Stravinsky Rite of Spring. Maybe add a random pop song from the 70’s-90’s and some more experimental music with panning changes and audio effects just to give them a wide range of examples. Also something with a complicated time signature and rhythms from India. I don’t know specific examples but a variety of music would be the best
I’m taking over comments today! E sent a link to an Indian clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jA_3g8zgMf0
