The project in Tanzania has 3 phases; community which involves either building a school classroom or sanitation and fresh water, environmental – building hedges to stop elephants trampling crops and then the farmers kill them BUT elephants don’t like chillies and bees so if you incorporate chilli plants and hanging hives in the hedges it is win win for the elephants and the farmers, and finally an adventure phase where we trek in a remote area and are self sufficient. I will be mentoring a group of 17-24 year old volunteers (venturers) who will hopefully gain lots of skills and learn lots about sustainable development.
Wow. Acute like a bugs ear. I feel like I’ve learned so much! Thanks for the Jenga cat. So sorry about Milo and the footies! My cat just eats the rings of the milk lids after she plays with them but she throws them up thankfully!! Happy June!
